New Resin Concept Wing

Sunday, May 20, 2007 - 10:07 PM UTC

By SCOTT LODDER
Fantastic Plastic releases another all resin kit. They stay true to thier lines of obscure little known subjects. This is a nuclear powered flying wing.

Yes Fantastic Plastic brings something that never left the drawing board into 3D reality.
The back story on this, per Fantastic Plastic, is; that the U.S.A.F. was looking to build a nuclear strategic bomber to be the aerial counter part to the nuclear sub.

Northrop had a number fo desings that can be seen here. The modeler, Scott Lowther, chose to build the very strange looking asymmetrical version.

The kit is a simple 15 pieces and looks to be quite a discussion piece.

You can check out the full story on thier website

This is not totally Sci/Fi or totally space. Its a new kit from an old friend- Fantastic Plastic. The design puts in the "What Is That?" world, so I thought it would be cool to list it here Link to Item If you have comments or questions please post them here. Thanks!
